SUPPORT FOR RAIL FREIGHT EXTENDED FOR 12 MONTHS

The Brumby Labor Government’s support package to Victoria’s rail freight industry will be extended with the rebate to container freight and further support grain freight movements extended for another 12 months, Public Transport Minister Martin Pakula announced today.

The  number  of  people  using the popular Parkiteer bike cages at railway stations  has  tripled  in  the  12  months  to  April, with almost half of Parkiteer  cage users leaving their cars at home and cycling to catch their train, Public Transport Minister Martin Pakula said today.
