The Kids On Bikes Program involves the use of pre-loved bikes donated by the community for primary school-aged children to recondition, personalise and take ownership over a school term.
This program targets disadvantaged children and demonstrates clear increases in physical activity, school attendance and student engagement, as well as a number of other social benefits.
The program is a partnership between Northern Mallee Primary Care Partnership (PCP) and Mildura Best Start, and includes Mildura Rural City Council (MRCC), the Mildura Region Primary School (MPS) and the East End Community House (EECH).
