World Transit Research

World Transit Research (WTR) is designed to help public transport practitioners and researchers get easier access to quality research in the field of public transport planning. WTR is a free repository of research papers, reports, research abstracts and links to research findings from leading research journals indexed and searchable to ensure easier access to topics of interest. The site is developed and run by the Public Transport Research Group at the Institute of Transport Studies, Monash University.

The GreenRide software is designed for developing successful alternative transportation programs such as carpooling, vanpooling, bike-to-work and park-and-ride.

pt4me2

pt4me2.org.au is a project of the Metropolitan Transport Forum which represents 19 municipalities across Melbourne on transport issues.

The objective of pt4me2 is to give the community another way to have a say about public transport in Melbourne, including a number of surveys, a YouTube channel, the pt4me2 Blog and Facebook and Myspace pages.

VisualPlace brings together information from a wide variety of sources from service locations to demographic data to allow you to create custom maps.

This statistical tool is an extremely powerful resource for transport planners and local government in general, allowing you to view a huge range of transport and demographic data on micro and macro levels. Data includes people who travel to work by car or public transport, through to the location of every rail and tram line and stop in Victoria.
