Cycle boost for Knox Central

Program Summary

Printer-friendly version

Local cyclists and pedestrians will benefit from a suite of new infrastructure launched in Knox this August. These improvments include:

  • A pedestrian crossing from Gateshead Drive Reserve to the Centre Court Entrance of Knox Shopping Centre
  • Four bike hoops at Swinburne Wantirna Campus, providing secure parking for eight additional bicycles.
  • 15 bike hoops at Knox Shopping Centre, at seven locations around the shopping centre, providing secure parking for an additional 30 bicycles
  • And better signage to help local residents find their way on foot or by bike.

These infrastructure upgrades encourage cycling and walking as transport modes in the City of Knox, encouraging better health and lower emissions.
