The Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) will be presenting Dr Garry Glazebrook, one of Sydney's leading transport and land-use planners, at their upcoming Transport Planning Chapter Seminar on Wednesday 3 February 2010, from 12:15pm - 2:00pm.

The Seminar is titled Independent Inquiry into Public Transport in Sydney - Lessons for Melbourne, based on Dr Glazebrook's recent research and proposed plan for a 30 year, $40 billion blueprint to address the cities transport dilemma. Dr Glazebook’s plan links the city's heavy rail, light rail and buses in one network, and includes an extensive system of new, mostly underground, Metro trains.

The seminar will be held at  the Department of Transport, 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. Applications close Friday 29 January 2010, so register now!
