Central Bendigo Universal Access Map

Program Summary

Printer-friendly version

The Bendigo Heatwave Project and the B-Line Transport Connections Project have produced a Universal Access Map for central Bendigo including a Heat related information resource featuring locations around the city that provide an opportunity for respite and access to drinking water during extreme hot weather.

Many existing access and mobility maps provide information that is useful to a small proportion of the local community and visitors to the target area. The aim of the Bendigo Universal Access Map has been to move beyond the provision of basic access and mobility information to provide a resource that is useful to all residents, visitors and tourists to the city of all abilities, across all age groups and for a variety of activities.

The fold up, pocket sized map is available from locations across the City of Greater Bendigo and copies can be posted out on request, please contact B-Line at the City of Greater Bendigo on (03) 5434 6464.
